Breaking In a Rebuilt Engine
A newly rebuilt engine needs to be properly broken in to ensure good performance and a healthy operational life. The engine should be run under load to ensure that the piston rings are seated properly and prevent oil consumption, as Diesel engines work most efficiently under load.
